A titanium suppressor gives you strength without hanging unnecessary weight from the end of your firearm. At TiON, we take that advantage further by machining weld-free titanium suppressors that fully disassemble for cleaning, inspection, and long-term ease of maintenance. Every TiON suppressor is designed and machined in Red Lion, Pennsylvania, and backed by a lifetime warranty against defects.
What titanium actually changes
The first thing you'll notice about a titanium suppressor is the weight, or lack thereof. Suppressors are mounted at the end of the barrel, where a few extra ounces can change how a firearm balances and handles. Our Minuteman rimfire suppressor weighs just 3.9 oz, while the Dragoon 5.56 DA Mini weighs 7.7 oz. That difference matters when you're carrying a hunting rifle all day or trying to keep a short-barreled rifle as compact as possible.
TiON uses 6AL-4V annealed titanium for components including baffles, end caps, and suppressor tubes, along with Grade 9 titanium tubes on several models. Titanium combines a high strength-to-weight ratio with excellent corrosion resistance, making it well suited for suppressors expected to handle heat, fouling, weather, and many years of regular use.
Compared with steel, titanium can provide substantial weight savings while offering strong corrosion resistance, better tonality, and improved heat dissipation over other manufacturing options. Steel remains a practical material where lower cost or certain high-volume applications matter more than weight. Titanium generally costs more to manufacture, but the reduced weight is easy to love when it's mounted at the end of your barrel.
Weld-free, machined from solid bar stock
Most TiON suppressors begin as solid titanium bar stock that is machined into the components we need rather than being permanently welded together. The Skirmisher and the Dragoon 450 Bushmaster are the exceptions to this, with the body machined from titanium tubes. Removing welds from the design means there are no welded joints to become potential failure points. It also gives us the freedom to build suppressors around components that can be removed rather than permanently joining everything together. The result is a design made for long-term durability, not just initial performance.
Titanium is what makes them serviceable
Every TiON suppressor features Total Breakdown Technology (TBT), which means every internal component can be removed for cleaning and inspection. We don't call a suppressor user-serviceable simply because an end cap comes off. You can remove the internal components until you are left with an empty tube you can see through. Our titanium materials help make that possible. Precision-machined titanium components can be threaded, removed, cleaned, inspected, and reassembled repeatedly. Instead of permanently sealing the baffle stack inside the suppressor, we build around the expectation that you'll eventually need access to it.
You don't need a bench full of proprietary tools, either. Depending on the model, ordinary sockets are used for disassembly. The Skirmisher is the exception because of its HUB system, so the required wrenches ship with the suppressor. If you shoot rimfire, serviceability becomes especially useful because lead and carbon can build up quickly. Centerfire suppressors generally need less frequent cleaning, but the ability to open the suppressor also lets you inspect components, threads, and wear over years of ownership.

The titanium lineup
TiON builds titanium suppressors for centerfire rifles, handguns, rimfire firearms, and shooters who want HUB mounting flexibility. The same basic principles carry through the lineup: titanium construction, Total Breakdown Technology, and a design intended to be maintained rather than permanently sealed off.
Dragoon: Our Dragoon rifle suppressors cover applications from 5.56 through .338 and .500, with many models rated for multiple calibers. They are designed for shooters who want rifle suppression without adding unnecessary weight.
Dragoon Mini: The Dragoon Mini line takes the same approach and puts it into a shorter, lighter package. Dragoon and Dragoon Mini suppressors share the same Quick Detach mounting system, giving shooters a familiar QD setup across both lines.
Grenadier: Available for 9mm and .45 applications, Grenadier handgun suppressors combine titanium construction with complete user serviceability and full-auto ratings. They are designed so the fouling that comes with handgun use does not have to remain trapped inside permanently.
Minuteman: At just 3.9 oz and 1" in diameter, the Minuteman is a compact titanium rimfire suppressor built to stay light and avoid blocking standard sights on many hosts. Its Total Breakdown Technology also gives rimfire shooters full access to the areas where lead and carbon collect.
Skirmisher: The HUB-compatible Skirmisher expands TiON's rifle lineup with greater mounting flexibility. Its titanium construction and user-serviceable design bring TiON's core engineering approach to shooters who prefer the increasingly common HUB mounting standard. Release of the Skirmisher is expected at the end of 2026.
Backed for life
Every TiON suppressor carries a lifetime warranty against defects. That warranty supports the same idea behind our choice of titanium and Total Breakdown Technology: a suppressor should be something you can own, maintain, and depend on for many years. Taking a TiON suppressor apart for normal cleaning and inspection is not working around the design. It is exactly what the suppressor was designed to let you do. You can see our lifetime warranty policy in our FAQ section.
Frequently asked questions
What is a titanium suppressor?
A titanium suppressor uses titanium for its primary construction instead of relying mainly on heavier materials such as steel or cheaper ones like aluminum. TiON uses 6AL-4V and Grade 9 titanium where appropriate throughout its designs. The material provides a strong balance of low weight, corrosion resistance, and durability for rifle, handgun, and rimfire suppressor applications.
Are titanium suppressors durable enough?
Yes. Titanium provides a high strength-to-weight ratio along with strong resistance to corrosion, which makes it well suited for suppressor construction. TiON uses 6AL-4V annealed titanium and Grade 9 titanium where appropriate. Our suppressors are designed for long-term use, can be inspected internally, and carry a lifetime warranty against defects.
Are TiON titanium suppressors user-serviceable?
Yes. Every TiON suppressor uses Total Breakdown Technology, which allows the internal components to be removed for cleaning and inspection. User-serviceable means you get a disassembly of the entire suppressor. TiON suppressors can be broken down to an empty tube, giving you access to the full baffle stack and other removable components using ordinary tools without the need for proprietary tooling.
Are TiON suppressors made in the USA?
Yes, they sure are! And proudly. TiON, Inc. designs and machines its titanium suppressors in Red Lion, Pennsylvania. Our suppressors combine American manufacturing with titanium construction, weld-free engineering, and complete user serviceability. Keeping manufacturing in Pennsylvania also gives us direct control over how components are machined, assembled, inspected, and tested before they reach our dealers and your hands.
How much lighter is a titanium suppressor?
The exact difference depends on suppressor size, design, and the materials being compared, so there is no single weight savings that applies to every model. TiON focuses on keeping weight low without relying on vague claims. The Minuteman weighs just 3.9 oz, while the compact Dragoon 5.56 Mini DA weighs 7.7 oz.
